Can cats drink cow’s milk?

It is best not to offer cow’s milk. Many adult cats do not digest lactose well, and milk adds calories without replacing the need for fresh water or a complete cat food.

  • Offer clean water as the everyday drink.
  • Do not give milk to treat suspected dehydration.
  • Ask your vet before using any milk-replacement product for kittens.
